Garry Gordon on Autism

from p. 82 from Garry Gordon M.D.’s book Detox with Oral Chelation, c2009. Disclaimer: not meant to be medical advice, but educational — see disclaimer from the book itself in earlier post.  GSB’s stance is that if we eat food like God made it, we will be healthier.

p. 82 Brown and Gordon:

There are three primary steps to Dr. Gordon’s protocol for treating autism.

The first step involves removing ecitoxings from the diet  because they are known to cause inflammation in the brain and neuron death.  This requires that the foods mentioned above that contain MSG and other excitotoxins–such as many fast foods, frozen foods, ready-made dinner, soups, chips, and canned goods–be completely eliminated from the diet.  The Dr. Gordon uses nutritional support to lay the groundwork for repairing damaged brain cells and generating new neural growth. This is accomplished with a variety of herbs, vitamins, and nutritional supplements.

The second step involves using EDTA chelation therapy and other detoxification methods to remove toxins and pathogens from the body, which will be discussed more below.  The third step in the program is designed to support nerve growth a process known as “myelination.” Myelination is the formation of a fatty, electrically-insulting layer around nerve fibers called a “myelin sheath.”  A myelin sheath is like the rubber layer insulating household electrical wiring, and it insulates the electrical transmission of neurons in the brain and nervous system.”
